Leonyta Salim and Her View on Green Practice for Healthy Workspace To Expand Creativity
As the era flows and the human population increases in the world, it’s undeniable that the earth is more crowded these days, especially with workers. It’s aligned with the rapid development of infrastructure and buildings in various industrial sectors, such as office buildings, warehouses, factories, residential areas, hospitals, and educational facilities that mostly occur in big cities.
In fact, the building consumes 35% of energy and 12% of water. It also creates 25% waste and 40% greenhouse gas emissions as an impact. If the development continues without proper and integrated planning and maintenance, it will damage the earth.
One of the solutions to those issues is applying the green design concept to building development. This environmentally friendly concept can fix or at least reduce the damage to the earth. It should be our concern, because all that damage on the earth can affect our future.
This green design concept hopefully can be applied and balanced with rapid infrastructure development. At least, there are two ways to apply green design concepts such as Prevention of Sick Building Syndrome to create a healthy workspace and expand the design creativity with the use of reused & recycled materials.
